After running a successful trade show marketing company for nearly a decade, Mark decided it was time for a change. He wanted to pursue the outdoor lifestyle, so he and his family moved to Vail, Colorado, from their home in Louisville, Kentucky. Since their first day in Vail, Mark and his wife, Tracy, have called the Rocky Mountains home.

Mark is very active in the Vail community. He spent four years on the Vail Town Council, and sits on numerous boards and commissions. His knowledge of Vail is second to none. Since receiving the highest vote total in 2005, Mark has been a champion of environmental stewardship, responsible government, and ensuring that Vail maintains the vitality of a "real" ski town, while always embracing visionary excellence.

Vail/Beaver Creek Magazine has called Mark one of Vail's "New generation of movers and shakers." He has been instrumental in the approval, rezoning, and negotiation of Developer Improvement Agreements (DIA) for the following projects: Solaris, The Willows of Vail, The Cornerstone Building, and others. Quality of Life for all of Vail's residents and guests is his primary focus, and there is no better complement to his community work than representing Vail homeowners one-on-one.

Mark joined Ascent Sotheby's International Realty with the goal of welcoming others into the Vail community, as full-time residents, part-time residents or vacationing guests. He believes that each group is a member of Vail's extended family.
